Jimmy Nail: A Career in Film and TV

Jimmy Nail is a British actor, singer, songwriter, and television writer. He is best known for his roles in the television shows Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, Spender, and Crocodile Shoes. He has also starred in films such as Evita and The 10th Kingdom. Nail was born in Benton, Newcastle upon Tyne, England, in 1954. He began his career as a singer-songwriter in the early 1980s. He released his debut album, Take It or Leave It, in 1986. The album was a commercial success, and it spawned the hit singles "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" and "That's the Way Love Is." Nail made his acting debut in the television series Minder in 1984. He played the role of Arthur Daley's sidekick, Dave Tucker. He also starred in the television series Spender in 1991. The series was a critical and commercial success, and it ran for two seasons. In 1994, Nail starred in the television mini-series Crocodile Shoes.
