Eutelsat 9B: New Frequency for Euronews Russian, 269 Italia Leaves

Eutelsat 9B, a geostationary satellite that is located at 9 degrees East longitude, has seen a number of changes in recent days. Euronews Russian has moved to a new frequency. The channel was previously broadcasting on 12111.00MHz, pol.V (DVB-S2 SID:7177 PID:1020[MPEG-4]/2020 English). It has now moved to 11996.00MHz, pol.V (DVB-S SR:27500 FEC:3/4 SID:632 PID:5201/5211 Russian- Clear). 269 Italia has left Eutelsat 9B. The channel was broadcasting on 12111.00MHz, pol.V (DVB-S2 SID:7177 PID:1020[MPEG-4]/2020 English). It is no longer available on the satellite. The reasons for these changes are not clear. However, it is possible that the channels were removed due to declining viewership. The channels have been struggling in recent years, and their ratings have been dropping.
