About Simon Baker

Simon Baker was born on July 30, 1969, in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. He began his acting career in the early 1990s, appearing in a number of Australian television shows. In 1994, he landed the role of Thomas "Tom" Summers in the Australian soap opera Hartley, cœurs à vif. The show was a huge success, and Baker quickly became a household name in Australia.

In 1999, Baker moved to the United States to pursue a career in Hollywood. He landed the role of Patrick Jane on the CBS drama The Mentalist in 2008. The show was a critical and commercial success, and Baker won numerous awards for his performance, including a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series – Drama.

In addition to his work on The Mentalist, Baker has also appeared in a number of films, including The Ring Two, Land of the Dead, and The Devil Wears Prada. He has also directed and produced several films, including Breath, which was released in 2017.

Baker is married to actress Rebecca Rigg. They have three children together.
